3D Preview

Apply your texture to a 3D shape with displacement mapping and various projection modes.

Switch to the 3D tab to see your texture applied to a 3D shape with displacement mapping.

Shapes

Choose from: Sphere, Cube, Torus, Plane, or Crane (origami)

Render Modes

  • Point Cloud — Particles displaced by texture brightness. Colors match the generator output exactly.
  • Mesh — Solid surface with displacement and lighting

Controls

  • Height — Displacement intensity
  • Detail — Mesh/point resolution
  • FOV — Camera field of view
  • Point Size — Particle size (point cloud mode)
  • Rotation Speed — Auto-rotation rate
  • Light Heading / Pitch — Directional light angles
  • Texture Offset / Scale / Stretch — UV mapping controls
  • Object Heading / Pitch / Roll — Manual rotation

Projection Modes

How the texture maps onto the 3D surface:

  • Triplanar — Projects from three axes, blended
  • Cubic — Box projection
  • Spherical — Wraps around like a globe
  • Planar — Flat front projection
  • Equirectangular — Panoramic projection

Spout / Syphon Output

Stream the NOISERATOR canvas to other applications using GPU texture sharing (Electron only).

Exporting

Export single frames, frame sequences, video recordings, and live NDI streams.
